From travelers arriving in China for the first time
It depends on your passport. Travelers from 50 countries — including the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and most of the EU — can enter visa-free for up to 30 days under China's current unilateral policy, valid through December 31, 2026. U.S. passport holders don't qualify for that 30-day policy, but may use the 240-hour visa-free transit if they have a confirmed onward ticket to a third country (not back to their origin). Travelers from other countries can apply for a regular tourist visa, and we're happy to provide an invitation letter to support the application.
Prices are quoted in US dollars by default, though we're happy to provide a quote in RMB as well. We accept USD, EUR, and RMB — by bank transfer, or online via WeChat Pay, Alipay, or PayPal (PayPal carries a 5% processing fee). Foreign Visa and Mastercard payments are also supported directly through our own booking system.
These are blocked in mainland China without a VPN. We recommend installing a reliable VPN before you leave home — VPN provider websites are often blocked once you've arrived. As a backup, your English-speaking guide can always help relay messages during the tour.
Every tour is private, so the pace is entirely up to you. We arrange a vehicle and experienced driver to minimize walking and stairs, keep daily walking time to around 2–3 hours, and build in breaks whenever needed. If you're feeling tired partway through a day, just tell your guide and we'll adjust on the spot.
Yes — China is consistently one of the safer destinations for solo and family travel, including after dark in major tourist cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Xi'an, Chengdu, and Guangzhou. We provide 24/7 local support throughout your trip, so help is always a call or message away.
